VoIP service

No flagfall fees, per second billing

Slash your monthly phone bills by up to 50% with GCOMM’s business grade voice service that’s delivered over our national broadband network. You’ll experience superior voice quality and have access to a wide array of features – at a cost your business can afford.

What is VoIP and how does it work?

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is a way to make calls over IP networks, such as the Internet or private IP. GCOMM implements the open SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) standard which is supported by all modern phone systems to leverage your existing PBX investment by using GCOMM’s national data network to make calls.

SIP can be installed on a PBX via SIP trunks and then connected to the GCOMM SIP service. The installation of SIP is simple and fast. Your PBX company simply configures your phone system for SIP routing and you are set to go. Instead of using traditional landlines, calls are made over GCOMM’s private IP network using business grade connectivity to achieve significant cost savings without compromising call quality.

Flexible and scalable to suite your business needs

You can use GCOMM’s voice solution to supplement your existing phone service by allowing all inbound calls to be delivered via your traditional landline and all outbound calls to be made via SIP. Or, you can have both inbound and outbound calls come through SIP to realise additional savings. The service is highly flexible and can be scaled to your business’s needs.

Why GCOMM’s VoIP service?

Independent of the Internet
We do not use the Internet to transport your calls like many ‘retail’ SIP providers do. GCOMM’s voice service is delivered over our high speed, high capacity private IP network that’s capable of supporting business grade call quality.

Guaranteed availability
The service comes with a comprehensive service level agreement which guarantees 99.90% uptime.

No flagfall fees
There are no fixed flagfall fees for establishing each call, as is the case with traditional telephone service providers.

Per second billing
In addition to our very low call rates, GCOMM’s voice service is based on per second billing helping you radically reduce your monthly phone charges.
